On Time Performance and Punctuality

Maintaining high On time performance (OTP) levels requires the various departments within the Airport to operate in a cohesive manner and work closely with the Airlines & Key stakeholders in improving their punctuality.

OTP is a key metric that is closely monitored by the Airports and the statutory bodies. For instance FAA (US) has set a target of 88% on time performance for US Airports & Airlines*.

Access to this metric along with contributing Flight Delay Analysis  is made available by IbharCPM to the Operations teams. The delay reasons are tagged with Airport logs to provide for a closed loop root-cause-analysis to minimise recurrence.

Note: A flight is considered delayed if it departed or arrived at the gate 15 minutes or more past its scheduled gate departure or arrival time that is shown in the airline’s reservation system.
